What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of enhanced relaxation in which the subconscious mind is receptive to suggestion. It is like having a massage but with soothing words, and is similar to guided day-dreaming.

Hypnosis clients remain in control throughout, are not embarrassed in any way, and are free to open their eyes if they wish or talk during hypnosis.

Each hypnotherapy session begins with gathering information so that a specific hypnotherapy programme can be tailored to the client’s needs. On the first occasion we may talk for quite a while in order to get to the nub of the problem, and I describe what hypnosis is and what hypnosis can offer. Later a hypnotic trance is induced and deepened, followed by post-hypnotic suggestions.

Hypnosis can help with emotional issues such as anxiety, depression, fears, panic attacks, lack of confidence, exams/tests, eating disorders, addictions, smoking cessation. For an initial discussion call the clinic and they will put me in touch with you. You can then decide if hypnosis is for you.

I also offer EFT as a complementary therapy. This involves the client tapping on acupressure points which can be very effective in releasing negative emotions.
