What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy uses the power of positive suggestion to bring about a subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The process itself aims to relax the conscious part of the mind while simultaneously stimulating and focusing the subconscious part.  In a hypnotic trance, the client will typically experience a pleasant heaviness of the body whilst the subconscious mind is more receptive and alert to new ideas.

Each hypnotherapy session begins with gathering information so that a specific hypnotherapy programme can be tailored to the client’s needs. On the first occasion we may talk for quite a while in order to get to the nub of the problem, and I describe what hypnosis is and what hypnosis can offer. Later a hypnotic trance is induced and deepened, followed by post-hypnotic suggestions.

I also offer EFT as a complementary therapy. This involves the client tapping on acupressure points which can be very effective in releasing negative emotions.
