What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the technique of applying needles and the body of knowledge that governs where the needles are applied.
Acupuncture rebalances the body to positively effect health. The effects of acupuncture can be subtle, giving you a calm relaxed feeling while at the same time being able to help with real physical issues that many people experience day to day.
What to expect in a treatment?
The treatment will last between 45 minutes to an hour.
On your first appointment you will be asked some questions about the day to day aspects of your life and your health, these will determine where the acupuncture needles are placed.
The acupuncture needles are safe, sterile and used only once.
There is normally no associated discomfort or pain from the needles but you may feel sensations of heaviness or tingling near a needle.
It is advisable to have eaten something at least 30 minutes before treatment.
