Sally Evans

Sally has been a practicing and fully committed chiropractor since graduating in 1997 from the Oxford College of Chiropractic; also taking further post graduate training at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic. She delivers a dynamic Chiropractic treatment with sound clinical testing and judgement. Techniques include Muscle Testing, varied soft tissue techniques and movement exercise therapy.  She especially utilises cranial and fascial release techniques. Sally has recently updated her extensive knowledge in movement and exercise by taking a diploma in Level 3 Mat Pilates.

Sally is married with family and has balanced her role as Mum and Chiropractor running her practice in Oxford, at the Summertown Clinic for Complementary Medicine, for over 20 years.  She now also joins us at The Brackley Clinic where her home-clinic patients continue care.

Currently she volunteers at the local Beachborough Junior Triathlon Club, based at the Brackley Leisure Centre, where she is developing their core strength training and body conditioning.  “It is great to be helping out at such a motivational fun club, where some individuals compete at National level.  My motivation is not only set with aspiring athletes, it’s about offering anybody of any physical ability honest person-centred care, giving them more control over their health goals, by resolving or managing pain and also maximising performance whatever that might be… walking to the shops, improving a race time, moving more freely with disability, reducing football injury, improving golf swing, aiding recovery from horse falls or surgery; the list is not exhaustive!”

Before immersing herself in Chiropractic academic pursuits and practice, Sally had a scholarship training in dance and musical theatre at Arts Educational Schools in Tring and London. She went on to work professionally for 10 years, including the West End, but always had an interest in structural health. She developed this interest, and set up in business, by qualifying as a Remedial Sport Massage Therapist at the London School of Massage and as a Fitness Exercise Therapist at Loughborough. But it was receiving treatment herself from a McTimoney Chiropractor that introduced her to the whole-body approach to care that is now the foundation of her practice.
